Not much new...

Well, i don't really have much going on, but I thought it was about time to give everyone an update.
Tyra is enjoying Girlscouts. Her and Mariah earned a badge last week, and Tyra earned a horse badge with G-pa as well.
Tyra got a 3rd place ribbon for an A project she did on second hand smoke. She did a lot of her research online.
The animals are all doing well, especially after the extra attention they got from Tony last week. He walked the dogs every day that we were in Seattle enjoying ourselves.
I can't wait to get some flowers planted this weekend to brighten up my yard.

Texting and Minutes

Well, the economy is squezzing us and with the cutbacks at Albertsons, it will probably keep getting tighter. In preparing for the storm ahead, We have cut off our texting and our minutes are pretty slim as well. We will have the use of our phones again starting the 7th of February. Until then, feel free to call us after 9pm or on the weekends.

If you want it done right...

They say that "if you want it done right, do it yourself!" I decided to start living by that motto. What's a motto? Go watch the Lion King and get back to me.
Well, after living in my house nearly 3 years, and having nothing but unfinished projects, i decided to take things into my own hands.
After a couple trips to the hardware store picking their brains, i am almost finished puttin the trim up on my front door, then i will move to the back. It' s a LOT of hard work and i had to learn how to use a saw and how to cut 45 degree angles. I am exhausted, but I have a lot more work to do! The glue on my hands has started dry, so i better wash it off!
Catch ya later!

Holidays

Well, it's been a busy holiday season this year. Lots of snow caused schools to close, work schedules to change and holiday get-to-gethers to be re-scheduled.
We made a snow man and Tyra and I both made snow angels. The dogs had fun with the snow, maybe too much fun! Pedro actually "killed" our first snow man before he was even completed.
Now, the snow is gone and the winter holidays are coming to a close.
I am looking forward to spring, not just b/c of the change of weather, but also b/c of our upcoming family vacation to Seattle! I know, it's not very far, but a couple of days spent at the fun Seattle family attractions is plenty to get excited about!

Until next time!

thanksgiving

So, i stayed home and cooked for myself, Aaron and Tyra. Everything turned out so good! I ate more food than I have in a long time, but i will be working it off over the next week. Aaron is leaving in a few hours and I'll have my house to myself (and Tyra, of course) for the next 7 days. I put a fresh set of sheets on my bed and made it up all pretty. Aaron won't be here to mess up the blankets, so I'll be thouroughly enjoying my bed.
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving too!

Cats, kittens and stitches

It's been a troublesome months for the cats residing in the Wolfe house. I think we should start with the smallest of them all and work our up from there.

Mickey, 12 week old kitten of Sarah.
His time with us has been so memorable. We raised him from birth and became very attached. He is so cute and cuddly and loves people so much. He's feisty and playful and always in the mood to pounce your feet.
He has finally made it to his new home with my friend Deborah. I figured he'd have a hard time being away from me and Sarah would be sad that he was gone. Boy was I wrong! After quickly and confidently investigating his new home, he went right to playing with his new owners. He was at home instantly. As for Sarah, she's never been happier! It was like she was glad to FINALLY be rid of her kitten.

Sarah, also a small cat, yet called overweight by the vet.
Yes, she was at the vet. She's finally back to normal after being fixed. It wasn't fun having a cat in stitches, especially since she would stop licking herself and she wasn't being very careful about jumping up on stuff. But, all in all, she healed fine and is now more loving than she ever was!

Mystery, oh my, what a pain he's been!
So, Mystery got himself into a lot of trouble this month! It started with some sort of encounter with another animal. Where and when, we do not know. But, it happened b/c he ended up with a ruptured abscess, which is caused by an animal bite.
Any who, after surgery, and an overnight stay at the vet, a huge bill, stitches and tubes, our cat came back home.
He is still half bald and in stitches. He's doing okay, but he is very sad that we won't let him go outside. I'm sure he doesn't understand that we are doing what's best for him.
I'm glad he will be okay and he will NOT be going outside anymore.

I'm sure you've enjoyed me droning on about my cats, but, that's all I have to say about them!
